It all started when…

The Surrey Mortgage Broker is a small business run by Richard Bousfield. Originally from Lancaster Richard has been living in the South for long enough to sound a bit less Northern than he was when he left in 1996.

Richard has been in Financial Services since 1998 and after serving his apprenticeship in a high street bank went on to specialise as a mortgage broker. In 2003 he set up on his own under the name of RSB Mortgages. Later the company became a Limited enterprise, RSB Money Limited. The Surrey Mortgage Broker is a trading style of that limited company.

Richard is married with two children and lives in Farnham, Surrey. He prides himself on his plain speaking, simple, jargon-free advice.

As you will see from the photos there is a recent addition to the household, Doris the Springer Spaniel is keeping the family on their toes! Now a later addition is Mabel, who is also a springer spaniel and full of beans!

Richard is a keen runner and has to date completed seven marathons. In a change of sport June 2014 saw Richard cycle from from Land’s End to John O’Groats with a group of like minded men who were also going through a mid life crisis! Sadly due to injury the running days are now over but exercise now comes in the form of dog walking, fell walking in the Lake District and regular use of a rowing machine!
